I know it's a war game, but the art design they went with was just plain awful. Going home after purchasing the game, I really thought of a fantastical world design with vibrant colors or whimsical design. For me, I did not expect the game to do the "brown aesthetic" of the early PS3 games. However, I cannot help but to compare the game with other games from the period, and even earlier generations (PS2 and PSP games), and I think I know what made the game look ugly. Don't get me wrong, I understand the time and limitations of technology during the early years of the PlayStation 3. Graphics - this is one of the things that put me off when I first played the game. But let's get a bit technical with the game. I got the game, I was amused at first at the novelty, but there are things about the game that really put me off even in my first time playing. I needed a break from the open world trope. The game was released on 2007, but I got the game in late 2009, shortly after playing Assassin's Creed II. A little introduction about my experience with it, I saw this on a game shop, the cashier told me that it was a game that let you ride and fight with dragons, which was enticing to my child ears. This is not gonna be an "underrated" gem type of story, but this will be what I really felt like when playing the game. Got a subreddit you want to see here? Message the mods!
